Senior Launch 2025

Senior Launch is a career development conference that helps juniors and seniors turn their Epic Journey into a springboard for success. Students are provided the tools and connections to build professional skills via expert-led sessions on:

  • Crafting a standout resume

  • Telling the story of your Epic Journey

  • Acing interviews

  • Navigating the job and grad school search

Launch culminates with an active reflection with alumni and professionals, and corporate partners who help the students understand their unique strengths and opportunities.

To earn the career + self development micro-credential, students must "Meet Expectations" in the ability to demonstrate the following sub-competencies (Education Design Lab Durable Skills Sub-Competencies):

Demonstrate Self Awareness - Accurately identifies some strengths and weaknesses, articulating how these attributes align with potential career paths; articulates some motivations and values, demonstrating some ability to manage anxiety in professional settings, and connects experiences to relevant concepts with specific examples.

Learn From Experience - Identifies relevant takeaways and lessons learned from experiences, reflecting on how these experiences relate to their career goals; reflections show some analysis of the experience and its impact. Connects experiences to future actions or goals with some specificity.

Initiate Learning - Takes initiative to pursue some learning opportunities, such as seeking out workshops or informational interviews, demonstrating a willingness to engage in new learning experiences; seeks out resources to support their learning.

Reflect on Learning - Reflects on learning experiences with some analysis, identifying key learning processes and strategies; evaluates the effectiveness of their learning with some insight; connects reflections to future learning with specific examples.
