Personal Case Analysis

First use at least three frameworks or ideas from the class to analyze what happened in your

personal case. Looking at your personal case with these three frameworks or ideas, what

alternative courses of action are suggested to you by each of these views. (e.g., if I were to look

at this situation with transformational leadership in mind, what might I do to act as a

transformational leader in this situation?) You should devote equal attention to each of the three

frameworks that you choose.

Second, rethink your role in the case considering your analysis. In other words, what would you

now do differently if you could re-live your personal case? Why? How useful were the

frameworks in helping you to clarify alternative courses of action for yourself in this case

situation?

Leadership Development Plan (Individual, pass/fail)

This project allows you the opportunity to think about your own leadership skills and which ones

you would like to work on throughout the semester. The project is designed to help you be the most

effective you that you can be. This is a semester long project that you develop on your own and

present the outcomes toward the end of the semester.

You will be given access to a book of various leadership skills to choose from. To complete the

project, you will first choose 4 skills from the book that you would like to pay attention to this

semester. You will write a 2-3 page brief telling me your plan for working on these skills over the

semester including which one’s you’ve chosen, a brief explanation of why these, what you intend to

do to work on them, and a timeline.
